Dual Guardians

Dual Guardians presents Horus and the Pi Yao together within a shared pictorial space, yet oriented in different directions, creating a quiet tension between presence and divergence. Painted in contrasting hues of blue and red, the figures sit beneath a large potted plant, framed by a vibrant ground of orange and yellow. Through loose, expressive brushwork and heightened colour relationships, Michael O’Neill explores themes of protection, duality and balance, where symbolic forms occupy a shared yet unsettled space.
